England Local Elections: Thanks from a newly elected Councillor

Newly elected Roberto Weeden-Sanz with Prime Minister Theresa May during the campaign in Barnet.

I am delighted to have been elected by residents to represent Brunswick Park ward as one of its two Conservative Councillors. I am touched by the outpouring of support we received, with visits from MPs from across the country coming to help us, including James Cartlidge MP from South Suffolk, as well as people all the way from Scotland and other parts of the country who knocked on doors and delivered leaflets.

I was delighted to have received widespread support from the Cypriot community and in particular from Joanna Tambourides, Doros Partasides and Councillor Maria Alexandrou of Winchmore Hill. I am very grateful to former Councillor Andreas Tambourides for running our campaign centre from his home and I look forward to serving the residents to the best of my ability and making sure Barnet remains a tolerant, welcoming place for all of us to live in.
